Our Story
We met over 10 years ago through friends in Southern Pines, NC. We always shared the same group of friends and would always have a great time together. We both went off to college and would occasionally run into eachother but we mostly heard updates on eachother's lives through our Mom's, who kept in touch. Sarah moved to San Francisco and Chad took a job in Florence, SC where he purchased and renovated a home. Soon after, he moved back to Southern Pines to take over his Mom's business. He stayed very busy and enjoyed being self-employed. Chad was doing some work for Sarah's Mom and she tried to line up a time for them to get together. Sarah came back in town in March of 2006 for a friend's wedding and we had a great time together. We dated long distance for 9 months and tried to see eachother at least once a month. In December, we went to spend Christmas with Chad's family in Missouri and he proposed in a unique wonderful way in front of everyone. We took Lucia's RV on a 3 week cross country road trip and had the time of our lives. We began in San Francisco to pick up all of Sarah's stuff and snowboarded with friends and family, headed to Vegas for New Year's, and then more snowboarding and spent time in Zion National Park and then Taos, NM to see Sarah's Grammy. We settled in Southern Pines in our new home in mid January. We could not be happier and have recently decided to move back West. Sarah will go the end of May to start her job and Chad will remodel the house and then go the end of the summer. We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together and could not be happier. Thanks to both of our Mom's because they knew it all along!
